Homemade primer/setting spray
How to Make your own primer/setting spray
You can use this special homemade spray as a primer and a setting spray and it works just as well. It gives a really nice dewy finish and your face will have a nice glow. It should hold your make up together.
I don't have exact ingredients but I will do my best to give you the amounts that I have used.
Ingredients:
Sugar: this will provide the hold.
Lime or Lemon Juice: Citric Acid is one of the ingredients in setting sprays.
Aloe Vera Gel: soothes and moisturizes the skin and provides a nice hold. It's great for priming.
3 oz. Spray Bottle
Glycerin: A main ingredient in primer/setting sprays. And It makes a nice preservative.
First, make sugar water by getting 1/4 of the cup of sugar, a little amount, a little less than the amount that is pictured here in the cup.
- Put that sugar in about 2 oz. of water in a cup and put the cup in the microwave to melt the sugar. About 10 seconds should do it.
- Take your glycerin and pour enough in there to just cover the bottom of your 3 oz. spray bottle.
- Also, pour about the same amount of Aloe Vera Gel in there.
- Then add 4-5 drops of lemon/lime juice.
- Pour the warm sugar water into your 3 oz. spray bottle.
Then, shake, shake, shake!
The warm water will help blend the ingredients together.
As a Primer: Spray about 6 inches away from your face and spray about 6 spritzes. Almost enough to soak your face. Let it dry before applying make up.
Your make-up fill look so dewy and fresh.
As a Setting Spray: Spray 6 inches away from your face. This will set your makeup. It leaves little sticky droplets on the face but that should dry up.
