Carrots

So I am still trying to maintain healthy teeth with a new diet. But I find myself slowly sinking back into my old habits. One way of trying to keep my teeth in order is to incorporate some healthy snacks. So, I have added carrots to my diet. And you know what? It is a good thing. Carrots are a good way to keep teeth clean after a meal. If you have something stuck in between the grooves, you just chew a piece of carrot and it grabs that mush that is stuck in your teeth. And it is a little abrasive so they help to remove some plaque and give you a brighter smile. It is like brushing your teeth without the mess! They are also good for you. They have plenty of Vitamin A and C. If you don't like to eat carrots you can add some ranch dressing dip or you can just chew the carrot and spit it out. But that is kind of gross.

I used to oil pull with Coconut oil because I thought that would help clean my teeth but it just made my teeth more sensitive. It takes some time in the morning. I had to switch up my morning routine just to swish around oil for 20 minutes. That is a long time. Now I don't do it as much as I should. Now I may just massage coconut oil on my gums. Coconut oil is supposed to be a cure all for everything, especially tooth decay.

Also, after a meal, I will chew a piece of sugarless gum with Xylitol. I am going to go to Whole Foods and buy some Xylitol sugar. I have to put the link to the website : http://www.zellies.com/products-zellies-complete.html this is a good website. It shows how important xylitol is to your diet. And it can help remineralize teeth. I live down south, OK-- and I have seen some awful teeth. I mean just decaying like crazy. Just black teeth and I am wondering what are these people not doing to keep their teeth healthy? Is fluoride missing? Well, I don't want my teeth to end up like these people so I am doing what I can. And I don't want the dentist just waiting around to drill another hole in my mouth. I am not going to let that happen just so that can lead to an expensive root canal. No, no. If you can grow broken bones back together. There must be a way to heal the mouth as well. It's just that drilling is just a quick fix to get rid of the problem but we need to figure out how to prevent this problem. But it starts with keeping bacteria from eating away at the teeth and I think carrots are great at that.
